Image Sites

Google - Removed the option to quickly navigate to certain time frames, but can be done manually by typing "[insert search term here] after:year-month-day before:year-month-day."

Bing - Has less of a NSFW filter than Google. Turn SafeSearch on "strict" if you wish to avoid those images.

Yandex /Baidu /Naver - Other search engines that have images that Bing and Google don't show.

DeviantArt - Mostly mediocre art, but has some hidden gems.

Tumblr - Mainly used for gifs but also has some good art underneath the usual Tumblr stuff.

Giphy - A site dedicated to gifs.

Twitter - Has very good art but is often unreliable and inconvenient. Many images aren't tagged. Follow anyone who likes or retweets art from the series your SO(s) are from.

Buhitter - Compiles images from Twitter and is useful for filtering out text posts, though shouldn't be solely relied on since it doesn't include all images.

Anime Radar - Another site that compiles Twitter posts. Again, it shouldn’t be solely relied on.

Facebook - Look up "[character name] or [series name] Facebook" and click on the groups that appear. Most of them have photos.

Instagram - We haven't yet discovered how to download images directly from the site. You may have to use a different site to download them.

Reddit - Find a subreddit for the source of your SO(s) or for the character(s) themselves and search through the post history. Redditbooru compiles image posts but only for certain subreddits and it's rather buggy.

Pinterest - Search up your SO(s) and their source material on the site normally and then click the "Boards" option on the search bar. There are several images in those collections that you may not find from a normal search.

We Heart It - Doesn't seem to have much stuff that Tumblr or Pinterest doesn't have, but it might be useful to you.

Photobucket - A pretty old image hosting website.

Pixiv - Sadly doesn't include every image in the tag you search, but has very good art. There's also a separate site for sketches , though it has considerably less images.

NicoNico - Has a lot of the same images Pixiv has, but serves as an archive for art that has been removed from Pixiv.

Zerochan - Mostly surface-level art, but has some images that no longer exist elsewhere.

ShuuShuu - Same as Zerochan; useful for finding much older artwork.

Medibang - Very small and unpopular site, but has some art not found on others.

Artstation - Has some good art.

Weibo / Duitang / BCY - Chinese websites. A pain to navigate, but they may have art that wouldn't otherwise be found.

Safebooru / Gelbooru / Danbooru / TBIB / Sankaku - Warning that all of these sites aside from Safebooru contain NSFW images, and even on Safebooru some images can slip through the cracks. Sankaku has a SFW version of its website, though still expect to find some questionable/borderline stuff.

Nozomi - Mostly for NSFW content, but has a fair amount of SFW images as well.

Minitokyo / Yande.re / Konachan / Tsundora / IBoard - All useful for scans and wallpapers.
